I have been practicing Yoga in one form or another for over twenty years and teaching for about five.
Yoga has, and continues to play a very important part in my life. From the moment I discovered yoga, attending my first class at University during ‘Freshers’ Week’ I absolutely loved it. It even influenced a change in my studies from Psychology to Comparative Religion, which included a short stint at the University of Bangalore in India.
Yoga has improved my physical, mental and emotional well-being, seen me through good times and bad, sickness and health and has been so much more than a way of keeping physically fit that I eventually wanted to share its benefits and teach what I love.
I trained for three years with Andrea Newman in Bristol and completed the British Wheel of Yoga 500 hour Level 4 Diploma. This consisted of eight modules covering many areas including Anatomy and Physiology, Breath-work, Philosophy and Meditation.
I have recently completed an advanced teacher training certificate with South West Yoga Academy.
I have trained with Calm for Kids and have completed a certificate in Teaching Yoga to Children and Teenagers.
And I am a Dementia Friend.
